Valentine’s Day, Snow and Online Listening Party

// February 14th, 2007 // Joe's Blog

I woke up this morning to the window illuminating brightness of a snow covered ground. I knew we were supposed to get some snow this morning, but it seems to be melting pretty quickly, so I am not too concerned about later week activities. I was talking to some friends last night, one from Bloomington, IL and the other from New Jersey about the snow situation up north. Seems that parts of Brooklyn have gotten as much as 11 feet of snow? WOW! My friend Elaine up in Bloomington showed me pictures of her car which was buried almost completely under 6 feet of snow, not including the snow drifts. It’s been a rough winter, but hopefully, according the ground hog a couple weeks ago, fair weather is just around the corner. I can’t wait for windy, rainy March.

Today also celebrates another significant milestone in my life with the 6th anniversary of me creating the Blue Man Library web site for blue man fans. It doesn’t seem like it has been that long, but then again it does, sound odd? Anyway, tonight we are celebrating the launch of a BML first, a Fan Compilation CD that will be made to everyone world wide this week for sale. People will be able to tune in to a live broadcast hosted by a blue man friend/fan Josh Cagle, and can join in the “Online Listening Party.” We’re going to feature 10 songs from the album tonight that kind of give you a broad spectrum of talent, musical styles and what to expect on this album. A really good thing about this CD is that all proceeds from this project are going directly to charity, so I feel good about that. You can find the attached PDF file to this post containing full artwork and liner notes.
