Society’s Dirty Baggage

The movie “Super Size Me” will open you eyes about the “food” your put in your body. Aside from the woes of regular smoking in the US, one of the leading causes of death is heart disease, only third by diabetic related illness. What would happen to us all if we stopped eating fast food on a regular basis and started cooking meals at home? Trade that #2 McDonald’s combo for a Tuna Sandwich on multi-grain wheat with water or “real” fruit juice. No one deserves to shorten their life by nasty habits that kill them slowly. We need to down size our portions, trade the Slurpee for an apple, swap a Whopper for a turkey wrap. After seeing this movie, I have to honestly admit, I don’t eat McDonald’s or other major fast foods regularly, but I was utterly grossed out and in shock of the effects this food has on you. I eat a lot at home, and prefer eating tuna, Subway or wraps for lunch than the usual fast food burger fix. You can be healthy, happy and be active, but you have to physically get up and do something about it first. Go ahead, put down the remote and toss the bag of Cheetos for a box of Wheat Thins. You can do it!
