Acting!

Something I’ve never had the chance to do before in my 30 years on this green and blue ball is perform as an actor. Just recent I auditioned for a voice acting gig, and to my surprise, nailed the part. My years of being a radio personality and entertaining people on the airwaves has in some way paid off for me. My role is a southern gentleman by the name of Robert Tam in the audio dramatization of Zack Daggy’s “Project 31″ of the Dark Worlds Trilogy. Zack is no stranger to me or the Bounceradio.net family as we’ve been online friends and colleges for a couple years now. Zack now has a partnership with Astral Audio Productions for the audio adaptation of his novel.

I’ve always wanted to do something with my acting skills, and having no proper or formal acting training this will be the perfect outlet for me to showcase my talents. It’s easy to act in front of a camera, it’s much harder to act only in audio format to convey emotions and sound real. This could potentially lead to bigger and better things for me, and I’m super excited to get started. I got the good news I was cast on April 27th, there’s that number again! That’s a total off-topic tangent on the number 27 and how it follows in my daily life, and I’m very serious, even Alexandra points it out to me now and chuckles about it. Back to the topic, Zack Daggy is supposed to be making an official announcement soon on his blog site, so stay tuned! I’ll be announcing the new acting gig this Wednesday night on Crossroads at 7pm Eastern.

Oh, one more thing, Astra Audio is holding a contest for an autographed copy of Zack Daggy’s “Dark Worlds : Project 31″ and above is the audio promo they’ve released, just hit play, for promotion. Check it out and enter! Go to the official contest web site by clicking here, for more details.
