Bloody Incredible

Bloody Incredible

Releasing Winter 2020 / 2021, this is my first autobiographical works. Through my own words and narrative, readers will be able to walk in my shoes in overcoming some difficult odds in living with hemophilia. From the darkest moments of ER trauma, to overcoming and defying odds, Bloody Incredible is a work that encompasses my life from birth to today. I’m so excited for you to read this book, and hopefully be encouraged in your own walk. It’s a story of faith persevering despite all odds.

Conversations with Samantha “Love Your Skin”

Conversations with Samantha “Love Your Skin”Conversations with Samantha takes you through the journey of what it is like to be in an interracial-biracial family. Samantha is a beautiful, kind, smart, adventurous and imaginative girl. She is learning about loving her skin, and why the color of her skin is what she looks like on the outside. Samantha ‘s mom is teaching her that she is so much more than what she looks like on the outside, and this is a lesson that all boys and girls should be taught no matter the color of their skin. Samantha YoungHaving the opportunity to illustrate the innocence of a child, especially following the narrative of a coming of age girl of color was both a challenge and rewarding. The challenging part was conveying the raw emotion of a child through an illustration that perfectly accompanied the author’s narrative. I learned so much about myself in the process, and was able to paint each page as Samantha and her mother Patrica had the deeply rooted bedside conversations about skin color. “Conversations with Samantha” will be an ongoing book series, with more titles releasing soon.
